Based out of Seattle, WA, Twice Shy Records was established by Ryan Taylor and Roscoe Gray in 2010. With a young roster of artists, this upstart label has brought in a wide variety of genres from across the globe to provide something new to the music industry. Taylor and Gray seek not to appeal to the masses but to put out music that they are genuinely proud of. Anybody can have one hot song, but not everybody possesses the ability to create a respectable body of work. Twice Shy is in to creating art, not selling ringtones and joining the complacency that plagues the radio. Taylor and Gray know that independent labels face a long duration of obscurity but the point is not exposure, it's getting music to those who appreciate it. A collective of artists once bitten by the Top 40, has now emerged as Twice Shy Records.
